Mark Atkins

My first foray into the literary field has been just absolutely exhilarating and has fueled my pallet for more writing.

My object is to get more individuals interested in the spoken word and to escape into another world of that is rich in emotion and passion.

Mark Atkins is a veteran on Wall Street for over 35 years in the securities industry, within the operations and the security division for Salomon Smith Barney, Citigroup and Goldman Sachs. This is Mark’s first novel and he is currently working on a medical journal chronicling his journey with lupus and open-heart surgery. He is an avid Scrabble player, trivia enthusiast and classic movie buff. Cites Malcolm Gladwell as one of his favorite authors.

Miles To Go Before Redemption

Miles is a fourteen year old teen-ager who views his family life through the prism of harmony, stability and love, until turmoil upends that serenity. Assuming new challenges and responsibilities, he ventures into a role of teacher and nurturer as he assists his mother Emily on setting an example for his siblings. As he searches for his identity in the absence of his father, Miles attempts to comprehend who his father was and what his path in life consisted of. Hopefully, the reader will embark on a journey of love, adventure and serendipity through the eyes of Miles as he attempts to navigate his quest.
